Helping Us With Sounds! A Guide!!

Right then,

It has been brought to my attention that many of you out there do wish to help us gather some sound files but are currently unsure on how to do so.

Behold, we have now complied a guide that will help you on your way!

First of all, you will need to download a version of Audacity. This is a program that will allow you to manipulate audio files. It is open source and multiplatform.

Because I am a nice person I have provided this link straight to the download page.

Once the program is installed it is time to get started.

First of all I want you to search you computer for the following file:

Lame_enc.dll

The program will ask you for this file at some point, so take note of where to find it.

Next I want you to open up Audacity:

Now I want you to make sure the FFmeg library is installed by going to Edit > Preferences:

Click on the Libraries tab and then "Download" button next to FFmeg library:

Now, Click File > Open:

Next up, Go to "File type" drop-down arrow bar and choose FFmpeg-compatible files and click your desired sounds video to be extracted and click Open:

You will now see the sound wave of the video loaded, from here we can choose the section of the sound file we wish to use:

Once you have the section we want, we then click File > Export... If at this point Audacity ask for the file mentioned at the start you must then locate the said file:

When saving the file, We name the file after the Pokemon sound, eg: "Abra" and choose MP3 from the list and then save:

Once you have the file save, let us know you have a complete file using the form on the right hand side of the page, and we will be in touch with you!
